FLUX, Malaysia's leading car subscription platform, announced that its catalogue has grown to more than 40 brands and 400 models — one of the widest, most flexible line-ups of any car subscription platform in the country. The expansion adds new-vehicle marques including Chery, Haval, iCaur, Mitsubishi and GAC to FLUX's existing pre-owned fleet, spanning petrol, hybrid and fully electric models.
The growth coincides with the launch of “Merdeka 69,” a nationwide campaign running from 8 July to 6 September 2026 that offers 69% off the first and last month of any 24- or 36-month subscription plan — a nod to Malaysia's 69th year of independence — applied automatically across all cars listed in FLUX.
"Nowthat FLUX carries brand-new cars alongside our pre-owned fleet, Malaysians don'thaveto choose between affordability and having something new — they can subscribe toeither, side by side, without ever committing to a loan. That's the flexibility we think more Malaysians need right now, and pairing it with Merdeka 69% felt right: independence should mean freedom of choice, not five years of fixed repayments," said Aziz Ayman, Founder & CEO of FLUX.
The expansion also lands at a moment when committing to a car is getting harder for many Malaysians. The Malaysian Automotive Association's own 2026 outlook points to new cars becoming less affordable, citing the expiry of EV tax incentives, possible revisions to excise duty, and rising living costs squeezing household budgets -pressures the association expects to pull industry-wide sales down from 2025's record 820,752 units to around 790,000 this year. FLUX's dual-track fleet offers a way around that calculus: subscribers choose between brand-new and inspected pre-owned cars side by side, on the same flat monthly fee, with no loan application, no DSR assessment and no resale risk to carry.
Merdeka 69: One Fee, No Loan, 69% Off
The Merdeka 69 campaign extends the principle behind every FLUX subscription: one predictable monthly fee in place of a car loan's down payment, interest and years of fixed repayment. Where a bank loan leaves the owner carrying the debt, the depreciation and the resale risk, a FLUX subscriber pays a single flat fee — insurance, road tax and maintenance already included — and simply returns the car at the end of the term.
For Merdeka, that fee is discounted 69% in the first and last month of any 24- or 36-month plan, across every vehicle FLUX lists, new or pre-owned. New subscribers just need two items to get on the road:
>Two months refundable deposit
>A one-time RM49 booking fee
>Supporting documents: IC/Passport, Utility bill or Tenancy agreement for foreigners, 3 months' bank statement, payslip, and Visa for foreigners
Here’s exactly what it costs to start a 36 month subscription this Merdeka, featuring Malaysia’s most affordable sedans to premium imports. More cars are available on the platform!
